SAFE FROM CROCS, OUT OF WATER.

SAFE FROM CROCS.

It is said that you will be safe, out of the water.

Yes, just watch yourself and do not go into the water, even to wash your feet. On that basis, you have nothing to worry about. You will be safe as houses.

Yeah? Do you believe that? Safe from crocs just because you are in a boat or on dry land?

BOATS ARE AS SAFE AS HOUSES.

SAFE FROM CROCS
FISHING ON LAND – PRESENTLY……………..

Now, I could go on, but what is immediately apparent is that a lot of attacks are not made on people in the water, but instead people on land or in boats.

Thing is that you are not safe, even in a tent at night, ask Peter, and he will tell you.

You are certainly not safe near the water’s edge.

I think it is fair to say that you are not safe in a boat, especially if you are alone.

So no swimming, bathing, spearfishing, wading, or wallowing.

No fishing on the beach, unless you are fishing with a rod and you are throwing a bait from a location up on the sand dunes, and even then watch yourself.

Definitely no standing close to water, no sleeping or resting anywhere near water.

Wait a minute, don’t crocs walk?

Yeah, they do. Unlike harmless sharks, the crocs have legs and can walk about on land. If your camp is a few hundred metres from water, don’t be fooled. The bloody croc can come and get you. Even a lazy croc can walk 300 metres to get a damn good feed.

And that is all you will be, food for fishes? Likely a bit of you left for scavengers and flies and whatnot.

Maybe body parts will wash into the sea where a host of smaller critters will enjoy a feast with you. And I mean with you in the sense of your wasted body.

So lets be clear, you are not safe……… Not at all safe.

My last count? More victims were not actully in the water.  Get it?They were in a boat or on land.

What do do?

I suppose you can stay home. Maybe go to the movies or a pub.

But if you are an outdoors type, better move south and go fishing in bloody Tasmania.

Sure it is cold and not much catching for the sake of the said fishing. But then, no croc can get you.

DAILY NEWS.

It was widely reported that there is an ongoing migration from the North of Australia to Tasmania. It seems that many ex-residents of the Top End , especially FISHO’S as they like to be known have finally given up on their hearts desire, which is to fish in the north. To preserve their lives and their sanity, these poor unfortunate fishermen and fisherwomen have headed south for safer pastures.

“Greener don’t beat Safer,” one older fellow said. He waved the one hand that he had left and grinned, showing the scar from his first attack.

He well remembers his face-to-face encounters with the crocs. It is not a pleasant memory.

“Oh,” he says, “I better be getting along,” as he headed off, limping, on his way to the airport.
