Crocodile attacks Australia

Crocodile attacks Australia – this is an update.

13th February 2019

Crocodile attacks Australia is the subject. Strange to say but many of my new listings are not in the world’s best crocodile attack database, known as CrocBite, which is otherwise extremely comprehensive.

Crocodile attacks Australia. Some are missing. O.K. CrocBite doesn’t have it all when it comes to listing crocodile attacks in a crocodile attack database.

Why is that so?

I cannot say, but one can only assume that attention to the world scene makes it a bit harder to define and refine the crocodile attacks Australian scene; suffice it to say that my listing process has brought forward a fairly large number of attacks, plus incidents, not listed at CrocBite.

See my list of attacks https://thecrocodilechroniclesaustralia.comcrocodile-attacks-in-australia/

More coming, but here is the first example:

1867

1.      20th January 1867. Young aboriginal girl killed by crocodile at Crocodile Creek Qld. FATAL.

An Alligator. At about noon on Sunday, the 20th, a young gin or piccaninny was bathing at the Crocodile Creek  when she suddenly disappeared. The blackfellows from the camp close by the spot commenced howling and yabbering  the noise! Was heard on board the Brig Craig Ellachie, which was lying at anchor off the ballast ground, about half-a-mile from the Railway Wharf and one of the seamen put off in a boat to ascertain the cause of the disturbance. The blacks told him that while the piccaninny, was bathing, she was snapped up by a large alligator, and carried off. One of the blacks further said that he saw another monster rise alongside the bank near the old slaughter yards.—

Bulletin, 22nd January.

Crocodile attacks Australia and public records.

Strangely, Brandon Sideleau of CrocBite told me that I didn’t have any data that they, CrocBite, needed. I think he is wrong and this is my first piece of evidence that I am right.

We will all be the judge of that.

Cheers to all those people interested in Crocodile attacks and Crocodiles in general.
